In the month of August, Tom Hill and I represented ICB (Islamic Center of Boulder) in their purchase of the Bethany Baptist church located on 5495 Baseline Road Boulder, Colorado. ICB purchased the building for $1,850,000 ($89 per SF). The building sits on approximately 130,000 SF of land. ICB raised approximately $486,000 from its congregation in the last month to get the deal closed.

It was a joy working with ICB. There were some cultural issues involved – the Muslim religion does not allow individuals to pay interest on loans – therefore we had to pay all cash, and the emphasis on consensus decision making made for an interesting transaction. Throughout the whole process ICB kept me informed and was upfront with me which allowed me to do my job.
